Terms and Conditions
These Terms explain how SooqBuyer may be used, what users are responsible for when posting or responding to listings, and how we protect the platform, buyers, and sellers across the marketplace.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing, browsing, posting, buying, selling, or otherwise using SooqBuyer, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any related policies referenced on the platform.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use SooqBuyer. Continued use of the platform after any update to these Terms means you accept the revised version.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account unless unauthorized use results from our own security failure.
You may not create accounts using false identities, misleading contact details, or information that infringes another personβs rights. We may suspend or restrict accounts that present fraud, abuse, security, or compliance risk.
3. Listings and Seller Responsibilities
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that listings, descriptions, prices, images, availability information, and contact details are accurate, lawful, and not misleading.
By posting on SooqBuyer, you confirm that you have the right to advertise the listed item or service, and that the content you submit does not violate any contract, law, trademark, copyright, or third-party right.
You remain fully responsible for the consequences of your listing, including disputes arising from inaccurate descriptions, unavailable inventory, prohibited goods, or misleading pricing.
4. Prohibited Content and Conduct
You may not post illegal, fraudulent, stolen, unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, deceptive, spam, or otherwise prohibited content. This includes attempts to bypass moderation, manipulate search visibility, inflate listing popularity, or impersonate another person or business.
You may not use SooqBuyer to distribute malware, harvest personal data, scrape the platform at scale without permission, or interfere with the availability or security of the service.
Listings for prohibited goods, unlawful services, counterfeit products, stolen property, dangerous items, or items restricted by applicable import, export, licensing, safety, or consumer laws may be removed without notice.
5. Review, Moderation, and Enforcement
SooqBuyer may review listings, accounts, user reports, messages tied to platform abuse, and related activity to protect the marketplace and enforce platform standards.
We may reject, edit, limit, unpublish, or remove listings, and may suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe content or conduct breaches these Terms, creates legal risk, harms users, or damages platform trust.
Moderation decisions may be based on automated signals, manual review, user reports, legal obligations, or safety considerations.
6. Marketplace Role and Transactions
SooqBuyer provides marketplace tools that help users discover listings and communicate. Unless expressly stated otherwise, SooqBuyer is not the buyer, seller, importer, exporter, broker, or owner of listed goods.
Transactions are conducted directly between users. Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for verifying identity, ownership, condition, payment terms, delivery, registration, documentation, and legal compliance before completing a deal.
7. Paid Services, Promotions, and Refunds
Some listing tools, promotional features, subscriptions, or future marketplace services may be paid. Pricing, feature scope, and billing terms may change over time and will be presented before purchase where applicable.
Unless otherwise required by law or specifically stated in a product offer, payments for consumed promotional or listing services are generally non-refundable. Refund decisions may depend on technical failure, duplicate billing, policy enforcement outcome, or applicable consumer law.
Users remain responsible for taxes, regulatory charges, registration fees, customs obligations, and local compliance costs connected to their own transactions, listings, or commercial activity.
8. Data Protection and Privacy
SooqBuyer processes account, listing, communication, and technical information only to the extent reasonably necessary to operate the marketplace, provide core services, secure the platform, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Users should avoid placing unnecessary sensitive personal information inside public listings. Information included in listings, seller profiles, or public marketplace content may become visible to other users and, where applicable, search engines.
We apply data handling and security practices intended to align with marketplace expectations in the region, including consent-based processing, limited data collection, retention controls, security safeguards, and lawful disclosure where required.
9. Regional Compliance Notes
SooqBuyer operates across multiple markets, and certain consumer, e-commerce, and data protection rights may vary depending on the country involved in a listing, transaction, or user relationship.
For users connected to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, SooqBuyer aims to operate in a manner consistent with applicable local e-commerce, consumer protection, and personal data protection requirements. This includes fair dealing expectations, complaint handling, moderation, and appropriate care in the processing of personal data.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory right that a user may have under applicable law in their jurisdiction. Where local law gives stronger protections than these Terms, local law will prevail to the extent required.
Local rights, remedies, and compliance requirements may vary by jurisdiction.
10. Intellectual Property and Content Rights
You retain ownership of content you upload, but you grant SooqBuyer a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, distribute, and promote that content as needed to operate, improve, and market the platform.
You may not copy SooqBuyer branding, design, software, data structure, or platform content except where clearly permitted by law or by written permission.
11. Platform Availability
We work to keep SooqBuyer available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, continuous uptime, perfect accuracy, or error-free service.
Features may change, be suspended, or be removed as the product evolves. Maintenance, third-party outages, abuse prevention, legal compliance work, or infrastructure incidents may affect availability.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SooqBuyer is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, reputational, or lost-profit damages arising from platform use, user content, or transactions between users.
Our total liability for claims relating to the platform will generally be limited to the amount, if any, that you paid to SooqBuyer for the specific service giving rise to the claim during the relevant period.
13. User Disputes and Complaints
Buyers and sellers are expected to try to resolve transaction disputes directly and in good faith using the information and communication tools available through the platform.
SooqBuyer may, but is not obligated to, review complaints, preserve records, assist with moderation context, or take account-level action where fraud, abuse, impersonation, prohibited conduct, or repeated policy breaches are reported.
Platform involvement in a complaint does not make SooqBuyer a party to the transaction or responsible for the underlying agreement between users.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate access where needed to protect the platform, comply with law, enforce policy, investigate abuse, or respond to repeated violations.
You may stop using SooqBuyer at any time, but obligations that logically survive termination, including payment obligations, dispute responsibilities, intellectual property provisions, and liability limitations, will continue to apply.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product changes, legal requirements, fraud prevention needs, commercial changes, or operational improvements.
When material changes are made, we may update the date on this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the platform or by email.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Unless mandatory local law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws designated by SooqBuyer for the relevant operating entity or marketplace offering in effect at the time of use.
Where a specific local consumer, e-commerce, or data protection rule applies in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, or another relevant jurisdiction, that mandatory rule will prevail to the extent required by law.
Users agree that disputes relating to platform use may be handled in the courts or authorities that have mandatory jurisdiction under applicable law, or otherwise in the forum designated by SooqBuyer for the relevant service.
17. Contact
If you have questions about these Terms, platform enforcement, or legal notices, please contact SooqBuyer through the support channels made available on the platform.
